Richard Gleeson, the pacer who dismissed Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant is a 34 year-old right-arm fast bowler.

Richard Gleeson made his debut in the for England in the 2nd T20I between India and England at the Edgbaston Stadium, Birmingham.

The right-arm pacer has various domestic leagues experience under his belt as he has played in - Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), Big Bash League (BBL) for Rangpur Riders and Melbourne Renegades, respectively.

Gleeson has been playing domestic cricket for a long time now and he made his debut for Northamtonshire in 2016.

Richard Gleeson proved himself an integral part of Northamptonshire's NatWest T20 Blast side in 2016. He missed Finals Day - their third in four years and one in which they emerged victorious - but he had done much to get them there, showing splendid economy levels, under six an over, with aggressive, full-length bowling and mastery of the yorker under pressure. It was all enough to win him a berth with Rangpur Riders in the 2016 Bangladesh Premier League.

On 29 May 2022, in the 2022 T20 Blast, Gleeson took his first five-wicket haul in Twenty20 cricket, with 5/33 against the Worcestershire Rapids.

In July 2022, Gleeson was named in England's Twenty20 International (T20I) squad for their home series against India. He made his T20I debut on 9 July 2022, for England against India, taking the wickets of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant, finishing with figures of 3/15.

On being named in England's training squad in May 2020, and the possibility of playing for England, Gleeson said "never give up, keep following your dream and keep pursuing things"
